GALRO provide supervision of the contact period with the child and his / her parents. It is commonplace for access to take place in public places such as restaurants, leisure facilities or public parks.
The reality for most is that access takes place at weekends when there is limited support services available. In GALRO this issue is resolved by the provision of an access centre staffed by professionals providing for a safe environment for access to take place. Supervising professionals provide detailed access reports to the Social Work Department in TUSLA.
