Supported Access

Galro has extensive experience providing for the safety and welfare of children. Galro recognise the need for specialised centres with adequate facilities for families, which are professionally staffed and secure, to ensure children are safe and have opportunity to foster their cultural identity and maintain family connections.

Galro “Access Centres” are safe, natural, welcoming venues with staff that support and supervise regular contact between children and their family.

The Access Centre caters for parents and other family members who may have no relationship with the child, or had a period of prohibited contact due to welfare concerns identified.

Services provided at the Access Centre include handover, supported access and supervised access.
