What we do

We specialise in providing services for people with intellectual disability, autism and responsive challenging behaviour. The adults and children referred and ultimately placed with GALRO have significant complex needs that may prevent them from living in family settings.

Typical presentation includes intellectual disability, autism, emotional and behavioural complexities, mental health needs and medical needs, with some having additional needs due to family dysfunction.

Our range of services and service models are designed, developed and structured based on a person’s diagnosis, presentation and life experiences. Risk Assessment and Risk Management underpin all care, personal development, integration and therapeutic plans and interventions.

We provide specialised models of residential care, respite care, community based mentoring support and home support. Adults and children are referred for specific specialised treatment and supported by the HSE or Tusla.
