Residential Care

At GALRO we believe that the most appropriate care for any individual is in a family setting, and we endeavour to mirror that positive influence. The principle goal of our service is to provide essential life skills to every one of our service users in order to prepare them to live in the least restrictive environment possible in the future.

GALRO residential homes are strategically located to ensure service users can avail of the convenience of community services, infrastructure, and a natural support network. All of our centres are modern family homes with adequate facilities and an ethos of integration in local communities.

Our service is provided in a caring professional environment, with an emphasis on multi-element positive behaviour support. A personal support plan is developed in-house for each individual and guides the level of supervision and therapeutic intervention required. In addition to our proven track record of managing complex cases, Galro also provides a night steward service to help support staff and service users alike.
